Moving Stories

In recent years I have had the pleasure of working with some brilliant professionals.

Moving Stories was a project supported by the humanitarian charity Massive Outpouring Of Love (MOOL); the first phase of which culminated in June 2018.

Using the themes of Immigration, Displacement, Home, Community, Diversity and Inclusion as our starting points, writer Moxie DePaulitte, photographer Kim Ayres and I produced a emotional show of spoken word, photography and original song compositions performed by the Moving Stories Community Choir; a 30-strong group of non-professional singers from across Dumfries & Galloway directed by Kate Howard. This was toured through the region during Refugee Week in June 2018.

An ITV feature on the project can be found here

Facail aig an Oir : Words at the Edge

A Creative Scotland supported collaboration between 2011-2013 with two poets: Angus Macmillan and Davie Douglas. We used the River Urr which cuts through the middle of Dumfries & Galloway as our muse and created a performance of poetry and song to explore our relationships with the water, historically, practically and emotionally.
